Yaw Tog - Time
Released when he was just 17-years-old, “Sore” established Yaw Tog as one of the preeminent stars of Ghana’s Asakaa drill movement. On this debut EP, the track gets a remix that launches it even further into the stratosphere with fiery features from Kwesi Arthur and British-Ghanaian rapper Stormzy, underscoring the boundary-erasing brotherhood that characterises Asakaa drill. Navigating between English, Twi and Pidgin, TIMEsees him incorporate elements of Afrobeats and hip-hop, capturing an easy summer vibe on “Mood” and “Gold Friends”.
